On September 16, ZUWE held the opening ceremony for the 2025 freshmen at the gymnasium of the Nanxun Campus. All university leaders, heads of secondary schools and functional departments, freshman class advisers, counselors, and all 2025 freshmen attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Tang Yuantong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of ZJWEU. It commenced with the solemn sound of the national anthem. Qian Tianguo, Secretary of the Party Committee of ZUWE, presented school badges to freshman representatives, officially welcoming all 2025 freshmen as important new members of the ZUWE community.
